NO JUDO COMPETITIONS BEFORE OCTOBER?
The French Judo Federation (FFJudo) plans to resume competitions only from October. “The objective is to resume competition with or without an audience in October with the Senior French Championships planned for Brest,” writes the FFJudo in a press release.
In its protocol declined in six phases, from May 11 to August 24, which distinguishes high-level practice and general public, and conditioned to government announcements on progressive deconfinement, the federation proposes the resumption of fighting for the high level from June 2 , under strict conditions (fixed group of eight people maximum, tested and voluntary, with written agreement and restrictions in daily life, no public transport for example).
This protocol only envisages from the end of August “the practice of free activity in a club”, “with respect for the health protocol in force” however. Until then, amateur judokas will be deprived of combat at first, then limited to an opponent, and in reduced numbers per session.
