Rethinking the Ehpad model, housing, intergenerational relationships, increasing public spending: the coronavirus crisis calls for “change gear in support of old age“, believe in The world personalities, from Laurent Berger to Michel Drucker, from local elected officials to big bosses.
“Professionals in the sector of assistance to the elderly, trade unionists, economic and social actors, associations or politicians, intellectuals or experts, committed citizens, we have, like everyone else, noted this relentless statistic: 92% of victims of coronavirus in France are elderly 65 or older“, say the signatories of this manifesto, on the initiative of Luc Broussy and Jérôme Guedj, co-founders of the Think Tank Matières Grises.
“By shining light on old age for two months, the health crisis has highlighted, and even accentuated, our collective flaws as our undeniable assets“, they add.
