According to the regulations of the AFC Champions League, the away goal rule is applied at the end of the regular time for the second leg of the final, and not in extra time, which means that a goalless tie is sufficient for Urawa to win the competition title.
The Saudi Al-Hilal team, holder of the title of the last edition of the AFC Champions League, hopes to consolidate its influence with a record fifth title after 1991, 2000, 2019 and 2021, while Urawa is looking for a third title after 2007 and 2017.
