The curfew expired on Wednesday morning after more than three months. The State therefore requested that the summary proceedings be withdrawn. Virus Truth refuses this and is now seizing summary proceedings to ask the preliminary relief judge to end all corona measures. “The objections to the curfew apply to all corona rules that restrict fundamental rights and freedoms,” says lawyer Jeroen Pols of Virus Truth on Sunday.
Pols says the state is ignoring treaty obligations. “Crisis measures that lead to far-reaching restrictions of fundamental rights are only permitted under strict conditions,” says Pols. According to him, the Netherlands should have declared a state of emergency and reported it to the Council of Europe and the United Nations.
According to Virus Truth, the government also pushed national legislation aside with the introduction of the corona speed law. Pols: „The Netherlands is currently in a space free of rights. There is no room for ifs and buts here. The judge has the obligation to end this situation. ” The session starts on Monday at 11 a.m.

More than 290 million corona tests have already been carried out in the country. It has caused more than 19.5 million infections in 15 months, but the number of sick patients or active cases currently stands at 3.3 million in a population of almost 1.4 billion inhabitants. Sixteen million people with the virus in India had no symptoms or were cured.
In many states, there are insufficient resources for treatment for a number of sick patients. For example, there is an attempt to get oxygen tanks from other states or from abroad. Inadequate treatment in a number of regions is driving up the death toll and sparking a storm of criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition, the results of regional elections are expected in five federal states.
For the time being, in the official statistics, 215,500 people with or due to the corona virus have died. As in other parts of South Asia, the death toll is still very low with only 155 deaths per million inhabitants. In the US, this number is more than eleven times higher, in Brazil twelve times higher, in France about ten times higher and in the Netherlands almost 6.5 times higher.
The health authorities of the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) have identified ten of the 36 states or territories as the most disadvantaged areas, including the largest states in population terms of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

Despite this, between a thousand and two thousand people attended. They also included other opponents of corona measures, such as a retired soldier in uniform who said that fundamental rights are being violated in Belgium and that people should be able to “live in humanity again.” Many young people sought confrontation with the advancing officers who, among other things, used water cannons to clean the park. After that, peace returned to the Bois de la Cambre.
La Boum 2 was an attempt to redo the April 1 mass gathering in the park. Then thousands of young people came to the festival La Boum. However, that turned out to be an April 1 joke. But the thousands had a great time and stayed in the park despite the insistence of the riot police. It led to what Belgian media called “a battle between young people and the police”, with dozens injured and arrested.
