“When I saw the team from the beginning already in preparation, for my taste there are a lot of foreigners, especially in the defensive ranks,” he sees the problem of Šlégr, who last worked in the club as chairman of the board and general manager before leaving these positions in 2020.
As a former defender of the national team, he observes difficulties mainly in the defensive area. “I’ve always looked at the defenders from abroad in such a way that we get one or two and they have to play the first power play, weakening, that’s why we get them from abroad, otherwise we have to have our back.” he mentions the difficulty.
However, it will be a problem to change the staff during the season at full capacity. “It is probably quite difficult to find an exchange that helps the team,” fears Kézr.
“Pavel Hynek (general manager) talked about something quite interesting, that he tried some exchanges, but it always emerged that the opposing team wanted the centers and that would have weakened Litvinov himself, because he has difficulties in that position”, explains. ‘editor – head of the Sport Rights section and of the Sport.cz website.
You can find more in the video of the Příklep program. In it, Jiří Šlégr details what Robert Reichel told him when he took up the assistant position, further explains how he would put the staff together and what he misses most about the current Litvínov.
