The small troop of high school students waits a little anxiously in a corridor of the Georges-de-La-Tour high school. Behind the door, a jury made up of legal and information professionals discusses with Bernard Leclerc, the president of the League of Human Rights, organizer of this first pleading competition. The teaching team said banco to the LDH for this opportunity to exercise the students in the oral examination of the baccalaureate. New from the reform of the baccalaureate and inaugurated last year, the grand oral is perhaps the most dreaded test. The candidate is alone, standing, in front of two teachers who assess his knowledge, his oral skills, the expression of a personal and structured speech, the ability to unfold a reflection, an argument, to engage in a dialogue and to debate. What give him a masterful stage fright. The idea had given rise to a controversy, on the question of cultural discrimination.
