Little is known about the twins of the royal family of Monaco – This is how the 9-year-olds have represented themselves in public – 2024-08-27 04:09:13

The future ruler of Monaco has been photographed with his parents numerous times. Still, quite a bit is known about him in public.

What about the Marquis of Baux’n Jacques Honoré and the Carladès Secretary Gabriella Thérèse?

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella are starting to be a familiar sight in diplomatic missions together with their parents, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. Despite the increasing media coverage, quite a bit is still known about the children born in December 2014.

Although Gabriella is the first born of the 9-year-old twins, Jacques will inherit the crown, as the law in Monaco favors male heirs.

The older the children have grown, the more often they are seen in public together with their parents. In July, the family traveled together to the Olympics in Paris.

Even though the twins are introduced to the duties of the court from an early age, the children are still not always interested. Albert and Charlene represented King Charles’ coronation in May last year without their 8-year-old children at the time.

– The children were not very interested in the coronation. They did know where we were and we told them to watch the coronation on TV. But they probably weren’t interested, Albert guessed.

– They are still so young, he continued.

Christmas is also a very traditional time in Monaco. The princely family’s Christmas traditions include, among other things, that the children leave cookies and milk for the elf on the eve, and grass and water for his reindeer. The year 2021 was a difficult time for the princely family, when Charlene’s trip to South Africa, which lasted a few weeks, stretched into several months. The reason was the princess’s health concerns, which prevented her from traveling to her family in Monaco.

At that time, Albert often represented alone with the twins.

Charlene was away from the twins for a long time. The family’s situation was reflected in the 2021 Monaco National Day celebrations, when Gabriella and Jacques had written touching messages to their mother.

Local photographers follow the children’s movements closely, and Jacques and Gabriella have already captured numerous tender pictures.

Charlene is a former professional swimmer and her skills have been at least partly transferred to the children as well.

Water is now a very familiar element for the 9-year-old twins, as Charlene already revealed in 2015 that the twins had been put in baby swimming. As a former Olympic-level swimmer, it was particularly important for the princess that children learn to move in the water at an early age.

– They are very active and playful. Absolutely lovely, but a lot of work, Charlene stated.

The proud parents said that the twins are very social. Children also enjoy bathing and watching animals when they are small. Their father thought they were also very loud.

– Jacques in particular wants to move all the time. They are very active and curious. It’s amazing at that age, they’re always inventing new things. Charlene has taken great care of them and I’m glad she was able to spend so much time with them, Albert praised.

Children’s school days also started early, at least from a Finnish point of view, because children go to school in Monaco as early as 3 years old.

As children, Jacques and Gabrielle were often photographed holding their parents’ hands.
