Little girl hit by a freight train, it’s very serious

(ANSA) – PADUA, OCTOBER 10 – A 12-year-old girl is in very serious condition after being hit by the engine of a freight train at a level crossing on the railway line that runs alongside the industrial area in Padua. The teenager was taken to hospital; his condition is critical. The dynamics of the accident are being examined by the Polfer; intervened with the police and the carabinieri; it is not excluded that the little girl may have tried to cross the tracks while the level crossing was closed.

The twelve-year-old, according to an initial reconstruction, was part of a small group of peers who, like her, crossed the tracks shortly before the train arrived. The little girl was the last of the group, and perhaps for this reason she would not have realized that it was no longer possible to cross the line without risking being hit. She is a young girl of Ukrainian origin, resident in Padua. The doctors of the pediatric emergency room of the Padua hospital are making every effort to save the little patient. (HANDLE).
