Dunakeszi, Hungary is gearing up for a magical Christmas season with a unique twist on the traditional Advent festivity. Inspired by international models, young university student Ádám Lenkai is organizing a dazzling Christmas light parade, bringing a touch of festive wonder to the town.
On December 21st, a convoy of cars adorned with twinkling lights will embark on a journey through the heart of Dunakeszi. Starting at 6:00 PM from Repülő tér út, the parade will culminate at the Advent fair on Casalgrande tér around 7:00 PM, offering spectators a chance to marvel at the illuminated vehicles up close and capture memorable photos.
“We invite everyone to come out to the streets and welcome the decorated vehicles!” Lenkai enthusiastically shared on a Facebook event page. “A smile, a wave or a few kind words will certainly make the evening even closer. You will see the cars closer to the christmas market when we arrive around 7pm.”
The event is more than just a visual spectacle; it’s a heartwarming initiative with a charitable purpose. Sixteen drivers have joined forces, not only to participate in the parade but also to collect donations for the Family and Children’s Welfare Center in Dunakeszi. They are actively gathering toys, books, candy, and durable food items to ensure that families facing difficult circumstances can experience the joy of Christmas.
“She loves Helga,” Lenkai added, highlighting the community spirit driving this heartwarming endeavor.
