According to Simon, the purchase price of milk in Lithuania has risen faster than the EU average, and the price paid by large milk buyers has reached and even exceeded the European average.
In November, Lithuanian milk buyers paid an average of 45.89 cents per kilogram of milk to large milk producers, the Lithuanian Agricultural Data Center reports.
“The purchase prices of milk in Lithuania fluctuate much more significantly than in other EU countries due to the high proportion of small milk producers.
