On Thursday, the Panevėžys District Court initiated a case in which Orests Jasaitis, a 24-year-old resident of Jodupe, Rokiški district, is accused of murder, damage to other people’s property and disturbing public order. The young man, who has already been punished several times, streamed his crimes live on “TikTok”. In one such live broadcast, he killed his neighbor.
After the live broadcast, he contacted 112 himself
Emergency medics and policemen were called to Jodupi in Rokiški district last October. At night, a worried young woman called the helpline, who informed that she had just seen on the live broadcast how her friend severely beat a man and left the scene, leaving the victim lying unconscious. Around the same time, the accused Orests Jasaitis himself called the ambulance, explaining that when he came to visit, he found his friend beaten.
