Evaldas R.’s photo was distributed in the British and Lithuanian media in 2013. English law enforcement then published a list of the 17 most wanted aliens hiding in the country.
When publishing the photos, officials hoped to find them sooner and urged the public to report when they saw their faces. At that time, the Lithuanian police said that Evaldas R. was not considered a particularly dangerous person.
The suspect finally got stuck and was transported to Lithuania this year, where it will be clarified whether he actually committed the crime with which he is charged.
Interestingly, Evaldas R., who has been hiding for a long time for a criminal conviction,, unlike most refugees, is awaiting release.

Delphi tried to wonder why Evaldas R. gained such trust, but failed to get answers. Prosecutor Rasa Urbienė, who controls the case, said that since the fate of the accused is already being decided in the courtroom, she will not provide any comments.

The party turned into a nightmare for a teenager
The story that Evaldas R. was forced to interpret began on October 14, 2007. That morning, the frightened mother informed Alytus officials that she had found her 13-year-old daughter naked and possibly raped.
The interviewed teenager said that she went to the homestead with her much older Evaldas R., where the baptism of Regimantas J. Kūdikis was celebrated. A minor sitting at the stand sipped the cider, then someone added champagne to it.
“After drinking half a glass, I disconnected and I don’t remember anything else,” the girl told the officials. – I got up at night in another house, I was without pants and without pants. I went to take a shower because my face was bloody, my nose was broken. ”
Other participants in the party said the heavily drunk girl was injured in a fall outside. Then someone put her to bed.
A little later, Regimantas J.’s sister entered the room and saw that half-naked Evaldas R. was next to the teenager, and her brother was lying on the bed by the bed. The angry woman scolded all three and drove him out of his house.

Both men took and took the teenager to the car because she couldn’t walk herself. Drunk, they drove to Evaldas R.’s parents’ home.
There he laid the girl in bed and continued to drink. Here they were met by Evaldas R.’s stepfather with his mother, who angrily drove both men out of the house, and in the morning the teenage mother told her what had happened.
Regimantas J. was immediately arrested for this crime, and Evaldas R. fled and hid abroad.
Regimantas himself claimed that he had not been raped, but the evidence was unfavorable to him – his semen was found in bed. Upon learning of such evidence, he created a version that he had done nothing to the teenager, and only when he met her in bed with Evaldas R. was very excited and began to masturbate.
When the case reached the courtroom, the victim’s mother withdrew her claim and stated that she had no claims against anyone and dismissed her for the incident. However, the judges did not pay attention to this, nor did they believe Regimantas J.’s story and imprisoned him for more than 5 years for raping a minor.
He wants justice
Regimantas J., who has already served his sentence, today suspects that Evaldas R., who has escaped from law enforcement and is hiding, will get away.
He is suspected that the accused who was returned to Lithuania after so many years has not even been arrested, although he is responsible for a serious crime.
“I do not understand, there is some nonsense going on. I didn’t hide anywhere, I sat down, and he will run away and now he will run away, “Regimantas J was angry when he contacted Delfi.
The public will not be able to find out how this case is handled because it is being ripped behind closed doors.
However, the evidence before Evaldas R. is not unequivocal. During the pre-trial investigation, Regimantas J. himself, trying to shake guilt, said that he had only seen a naked friend lying with a teenager, but did not mention any coercion.
True, the officers found in the bedding not only the traces of Regimantas J., but also the DNA of another person. It is probable that Evaldas R left them.
The law provides for imprisonment from 5 to 15 years for rape of a minor.
