Several states are involved in the transfer of weapons to Ukraine, as well as a manufacturer and supplier, said Arvydas Anushauskas.
The Lithuanian authorities are ready to transfer lethal weapons to Ukraine. This was announced on Sunday, December 19, by the Minister of National Defense of this Baltic country Arvydas Anushauskas, the newspaper reports. LRT.
“It is necessary to support Ukraine in every possible way, and Lithuania is ready for this, including the transfer of lethal weapons to Ukraine,” Anushauskas said.
At the same time, he did not specify what kind of weapons Lithuania would transfer to Ukraine.
“I will not answer directly now, this is a matter of a multilateral agreement, because several states are involved, not only a donor and recipient of arms, but also a manufacturer and supplier,” Anushauskas said.
It is noted that Anushauskas spoke about Lithuania’s readiness to transfer lethal weapons to Ukraine in the city of Rukla at a joint press conference with German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht. She arrived in Lithuania to visit the Bundeswehr soldiers.
Earlier Sunday it was reported that Lambrecht proposed targeting new EU sanctions on the immediate leaders of the Russian Federation, including its President Vladimir Putin.
