Lithuania continues its policy of hostility towards Azerbaijan

A group of deputies from Lithuania visited the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and recently met with the EU mission in Armenia and continued the inappropriate practice of looking at Azerbaijan through binoculars. SIA reports that the West Azerbaijan Community issued a statement in this regard.

The statement stated: “Lithuania continues its policy of hostility against Azerbaijan at all levels. They are probably aware of the audio recording of the Lithuanian MPs, which was released a few years ago, that Lithuanian diplomats supported the occupying Armenia, not Azerbaijan, whose territory was occupied in the past conflict, on religious grounds.

We remind the Lithuanian deputies that most of the areas they visited are villages where Azerbaijanis were deported.

Lithuanian deputies with a crusader mentality, instead of seeking adventure in the South Caucasus and acting as Don Quixote, let them go and protect the rights of the oppressed ethnic minority in their country.”
