Lithuania chases all Belarusian vehicles and TIRs – 2024-07-07 06:33:26

Trailers and semi-trailers registered in Belarus, together with these towed by tractors registered in different nations, should go away the territory of Lithuania by July 10, Lithuanian customs reported.

“We want to inform you that EU Council Regulation 2024/1865 of 29 June 2024 amending EU Regulation N765/2006 on restrictive measures … following the modification of Article 1zc, established a ban on the operation of highway transport undertakings for transportation of products by way of the territory of the European Union with trailers registered in Belarus or semi-trailers, together with if these trailers or semi-trailers are towed by tractors registered in different nations,” reads the announcement on the web site of the Lithuanian Customs.

It’s famous that “since Regulation N2024/1865 was revealed within the Official Journal of the European Union on June 30, 2024 and entered into power the day after its publication, i.e. on July 1, enterprises didn’t have time to adapt to the newly launched necessities”.

“Due to this fact, trailers and semi-trailers registered in Belarus, towed by tractors registered in different nations (together with Lithuania), and used to move items (for these items, export (re-export) and transit customs procedures have been carried out) should go away the territory of the European Union till July 10, 2024 (inclusive),” the Lithuanian ministry added.
