Nathalie Somé and Nouhoun Thanou have written a book entitled “Monsignor Anselme Titianma Sanon, priest and authentic citizen”. The dedication ceremony took place this Friday, May 5 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bobo-Dioulasso.
This is a book published by Éditions Mercury. It is printed in 193 pages in total. The work is the result of the interview with the Archbishop Emeritus of Bobo-Dioulasso. It is a collection of testimonies that allows you to discover Monsignor Anselme Titianma Sanon from his roots in Kibidoué, his childhood in Sya, his first steps in school, in Christianity and his religious and pastoral training. According to Nathalie Edwige Somé, one of the authors of the book, “I began to mix with Monsignor forty years ago. He is like a father, an educator, a spiritual father, and at the same time a friend for me. In addition, he is a man who never misses an opportunity to talk about peace and social cohesion in the country. This makes this octogenarian a landmark for me.
This is why we wanted to highlight the values of this man, a living human treasure, to produce the book”. “We can consider volume l of our project, volume ll remains a second part that is close to our hearts. We pray to God to give long life to Monsignor so that we can achieve volume ll”.
Monsignor Anselme Titianma Sanon, present at the dedication ceremony, did not hide his joy. “I would first like to thank the young people who thought of this project. I’m proud of them. May the Lord be with them. I urge young people to cultivate the spirit of forgiveness and love of neighbour,” he said. At the same time, Monsignor invited the young people to read the work and practice the advice therein.
