Literaturvermittlung am Land
12/11/21 The Literaturhaus Salzburg repeatedly supports regional cultural organizers in the field of literature. In 2022, the aim is to support creative ideas for teaching literature in the State of Salzburg and their implementation.
The reason for this initiative is the many years of experience that “one has worked with local cultural events, but the resulting projects and events often remain singular”. This is how the literary house describes the situation.
There are many reasons for this: a lack of know-how among the organizers, “books and authors who, apart from a few prominent names, are too little known” or generally too little interest in literature. The financial risk also plays a role, “because with literature, unlike cabaret, cinema or music,” no large crowds are to be expected.
The literary experts at the Literaturhaus are convinced: “So sometimes you need a little encouragement and support.” And that’s what you want to give! Be it in an advisory form or as a cooperation partner. (LH/dpk)
