Abidjan, November 2, 2024 – From October 28 to 30, 2024, an annual review workshop of Literacy Programs linked to health and nutrition and planning of interventions was held in Jacqueville.
Organized by the Directorate of Coordination and Monitoring of Literacy Programs (DCSPA) in collaboration with the Results-Based Program for Strengthening the Basic Education System (PRSEB), the workshop aimed to take stock of the implementation implementation of the action plan of the National Program for Family Literacy and Nutrition (PNAFN).
Representing Minister Mariatou Koné, technical advisor Kam Oleh praised the work accomplished by the workshop participants. “I would like to thank you and congratulate you on the work accomplished. (…) The availability and commitment of everyone made it possible to produce a quality report which will allow us to better manage this project,” he declared.
Furthermore, in addition to the improvement sought in the implementation of the pre-pilot of the family literacy project, “this activity, underlined Kam Oleh, shows the importance of monitoring and evaluation of our activities”.
The director of the DCSPA, Yvette Kouassy, for her part, encouraged stakeholders to cultivate a culture of monitoring and evaluation of literacy programs for better improvement of results.
The workshop brought together 42 participants from the Ministry of National Education and Literacy, technical ministries involved in Literacy, as well as Education partners, such as UNESCO and UNICEF.
