– I would strongly warn everyone to vote for the left-wing radical socialists or any of those who give them power, says FRP leader Sylvi Listhaug to Dagbladet.
– Throughout this election campaign, we have asked for a guarantee from the Labor Party and the Socialist People’s Party not to cooperate with them. But it has not come. It shows that they are going to lay out a red carpet so that these parties can gain decisive power.
Whether the Labor Party, the Center Party and the Socialist People’s Party succeed in getting a majority together in the Storting, there are many indications that Norway’s next government will be a red-green three-party government. However, the Center Party does not want SV on the team, and wants a pure Labor-Sp government.
On the other hand, the situation becomes more unpredictable if the red-green trio becomes dependent on a fourth and perhaps even a fifth party to have a majority in the Storting, such as MDG or Rødt.
On Dagbladet’s latest poll, published on Thursday last week, Labor leader Jonas Gahr Støre’s dream government gets 83 seats – two away from the majority. They will thus be dependent on having either MDG or Red in the back to get support for the budgets.
– Serious consequences
Listhaug believes that Rødt, SV and MDG’s tax and fee increases, increases in the development assistance budget, as well as billions for “symbolic climate measures and closing down the oil industry”, mean that the accounts are not connected.
– It will have serious consequences for our country if Rødt, SV and MDG gain power, she believes.
–
– FRP wants an end to the waste and build Norway. There must be an end to the flow of money for aid, immigration and symbolic climate measures that cost enormously but have nothing to do with the climate. We must afford to give the sick the best medicine and build infrastructure in Norway without tolls. We can do that if we stop wasting so much money, Listhaug continues.
She is also disappointed with the FRP’s former government partner, the Conservatives.
– Unfortunately, we have seen that the Conservatives also give in to the climate lobby and send out for consultation proposals for an oil tax which in the long run will mean less exploration, fewer discoveries, fewer jobs and thus cuts in welfare. The MDGs have said that the FRP is the only party they do not want to cooperate with. I take that as a stamp of quality.
–
Listhaug believes a change of government can also lead to what she describes as “an asylum wave from Afghanistan”.
– Whether Støre, who is hesitant in asylum policy, will govern Norway in an asylum crisis together with parties that want to set the boundaries wide open, is worrying.
Nationally, the Progress Party gets 11.4 percent of the vote in the average of the polls for September, according to the website Poll of polls. If that is the case, the FRP is poised to get twenty seats in the Storting.
– Completely wrong
Dagbladet has confronted Rødt leader Bjørnar Moxnes with Listhaug’s proposals. He does not agree with the FRP leader.
– She’s completely wrong. It will be good for Norway if Norway gets a new government that becomes dependent on the Red. Then there will be an end to the billionaires getting everything they point to, as it has been for 40 years, says Moxnes.
He is aware that the Labor Party and the Center Party must not be allowed to keep in peace.
– Then there will be no way in the gruel, says the party leader.
Dagbladet has also been in contact with SV for a comment on Listhaug’s proposal. The party has not responded to Dagbladet’s inquiries.
