The group’s leader Ints Ķergalvis, also known as Speiss, says that the song is a joint call of musicians for fans of the group’s work and everyone else to strengthen unity in this difficult situation.

“Falling into hands is a symbol. Especially after the last few years of the pandemic, when folding has literally become an unimaginable form of socialization. We must be united. The war in Ukraine has changed the pandemic, but only unity can help overcome it,” says Ķergalvis. .

Already on Saturday, March 12, OB together with other like-minded musicians will take part in a charity concert in support of Ukraine “Rock Against Occupation”, which will take place in Cesis Castle Park. OB is organizing this concert in cooperation with the popular entertainment place in Cēsis “Fonoklubs“.

“Our position is clear. We are against war, against occupation and any kind of aggression. Our strongest weapons are our songs and their lyrics, so we simply must not be left out,” explains Ķergalvis. OB musicians are also actively involved in various events related to helping the victims of the Ukrainian war. Someone is taking in a refugee family, someone has already delivered a cargo of humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian-Polish border, and brought the homeless to Latvia, and so on. “We can do what we can. Everyone had a hard time, but we chose not to give up and work. We plan to continue to do so,” says Ķergalvis.

OB acknowledges that rock music has always been an important factor in the unity of the Latvian people and must continue to be so. At the same time, “Let’s join hands” is a gratitude and support to all those who have not remained indifferent to the suffering of the Ukrainian people and continue to help. “We probably can’t even imagine how much help the war victims will need in the future. Therefore, we will be united and together we will try to cope with it all,” says Ķergalvis.

At the end of March, OB is planning a small concert tour in several Latvian cities. The musicians are currently working on another studio recording. The premiere of the song is scheduled for Saturday, at a concert in Cēsis.
