The Attorney General’s Office will investigate the background of the leaked audios between the criminal lawyer Ignacio Durán and the director of the weekly El Bocón, Jorge Bonica, in which the lawyer promises that he will deliver evidence on the Operation Ocean case, declared in reserve by the Justice while the investigation is ongoing.
The authors of the video in which the audio is released are the parents of Adrián Mastandrea, a young man represented by Durán who has been imprisoned for more than a year for a complaint of sexual abuse.
In the conversation, published on social networks, Durán talks about a “shady” procedure between lawyers and prosecutors that, according to his version, affected the development of the case. “For me the guy is innocent and there was a very murky issue between lawyers and prosecutors,” he told Bonica.
Mastandrea’s relatives questioned the lawyer’s conduct and indicated that in the recording he himself acknowledged that the process was “very shady.” However, “when he had to present the evidence against lawyers, he did not do so,” they stressed.
“I am going to make you listen to audios and things, because I am interested in starting to demystify everything that is happening a little and in the case of my client (…) he is eating an incredible garrón”, the lawyer told the journalist.
