It’s the work of a Finnish YouTuber who has been creating device-assisted covers since 2014 (via Wikitopia). This time, Device Orchestra released 14 tools to set it up — including electric toothbrushes decorated with googly eyes.
A single electric toothbrush stands with pipe cleaners for the arms front and center, and the familiar chorus surrounds the tone of a bumblebee leaning to the music. He may be the star of the show, but he has plenty of backups.
A row of delivery machines mimic the sound of a synthesizer, while another electric toothbrush wrinkles under a white sheet of paper. The typewriter flickers away in the background, accompanied by the buzz of a body trimmer, nail polish, and epilator (an epilator, in case you didn’t already know). And while the iron doesn’t contribute much to the overall composition, it does provide the visual effects, blowing out clouds of steam to create an intimidating atmosphere.
Maybe this cover is more satisfying to listen to than actually listen to it Ghostbusters character trait. It’s interesting to hear how each device’s sounds are grouped together, but oddly reassuring. The googly wiggle eyes are just a plus.
