On the evening of Friday, March 12, a song has finally become known, with which singer Samanta Tina will represent Latvia at the international “Eurovision” song contest, which will take place in May in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
“The Moon is Rising” is a story about a woman’s strength and a call for everyone to be aware of their own values and beauty without succumbing to the standards and stereotypes that prevail in society.
“This song is about strong and amazing women – for all of us! I want us not to hide and not be afraid of our uniqueness and distinctiveness. Therefore, the song invites every woman to crown herself or accept herself with her own hands and be a determinant of her life.
We accept and love ourselves, we are proud of what God has given us and what has created us, but we see every difference as wealth, because I am for equality! ” The message of the song “The Moon is Rising” is described by the singer.
The authors of the song “The Moon is Rising” are Aminata, SKVR (Oskars Wuhans) and Samanta Tīna. It was made at a special RIGaLIVE songwriting camp last autumn, which took place in cooperation with Latvian music exports.
Samanta herself has worked on the video of the song together with the creative film studio “Ai Production”, cameraman – Ritvars Bluka, style – Samanta Tīna and Anatolijs Ksenofontovs, advisor – Kashers, choreographers Linda Šeļakova-Paulauskas and Baiba Klints and a number of other professionals.
“The song has only gotten better, but it has not changed dramatically,” the singer comments on the development of the song after the first demo version.
Interestingly, “The Moon is Rising” was the first song he listened to and sang in the Samanth camp, and, as the singer admits, it immediately won her sympathy.
The Eurovision Song Contest will be held for the 65th time this year and will feature 41 countries. The semi-finals will take place on May 18 and 20, and the final, which will feature 26 songs, will take place on May 22. Samanta Tīna will perform in the second semifinal.-
