The roots of the group “Alis P” can be traced back to Sweden in the mid-1980s – after the breakup of the Swedish Latvian group “Prusaku ensemble”, its musician Gundars Rullis continues his musical career as “Alis P”, releasing two albums “Alis iet pasaigat” (1988) and “Forward ” (2009).
Gundars Rullis says about the new collaboration with Juri Kaukulis: “”Alis P”, leaving and preserving the main themes of Juri Kaukulis, tried to dress the song in a “timeless” sound. This song spoke to all of us with a story about earlier times.”
The creators of the song reveal that the recording was made both in Latvia and Sweden. “This can be safely called bedroom-garage rock, because the song was recorded in a garage in Sigulda, and the soundtrack was processed in a bedroom in Stockholm. The story of the song is drawn from pieces of personal experience, not forgetting the protection of fur animals today,” Kaukulis adds.
The author of the music and lyrics of the song “Rabbits” is Juris Kaukulis, the arrangements are by Gundars Rullis, Kristaps Grasis, Edgars Āboliņš. Studio producer – Gundars Rullis. Performers: Juris Kaukulis (vocals, synthesizers), Gundars Rullis (violin, guitar), Kristaps Grasis (bass) and Edgars Āboliņš (drums).
