In anticipation of Lāčplēsis Day and the National Proclamation Festival, singer Igo has released a new song “Step, stepping stone”.
The author of the song “Step, stepping stone” is the composer Jānis Strazds, who has been collaborating with Igo for many years, but the lyrics were written by Igo himself. Jānis Strazds (keys and consonants), Ieva Kerēvica (consonants), Armands Alksnis (guitars), Aivars Meijers (bass guitar) and Ainis Zavackis (drums) have participated in the recording together with Igo. “In the life of every person, even during the formation of society, there comes a moment when the decision made by each and the step taken together is crucial,” says the musician’s camp. In turn, Igo himself says about the new work: “The song is about the decision made in the heart at a responsible stage of life to be united and achieve the goal together.” The recording of the song was made thanks to the scholarship of the association LaIPA.
