JAKARTA, WERADIO.CO.ID – Playing with pets is a very fun thing, especially playing with cats. Owning a cat can eliminate loneliness. Even cats can be the best listeners during a tiring day.
Keeping a cat does provide good benefits, namely making children know what empathy, compassion and responsibility are.
A lively and playful cat can actually carry various germs, you know, because of a lack of supervision and he always plays in dirty places.
There are so many dangers that can be caused by cats if we don’t take care of them in an orderly manner. This is because cats contain bacteria and parasites that can cause various diseases.
Here are some potential diseases that can be caused by having a cat:

Cats can cause ringworm, which is caused by a fungal infection of the species Microsporum canis or Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
2. Cryptosporidiosis
Cryptosporidiosis is a disease that can cause diarrhea in humans. Cryptosporidiosis is caused by a micro-sized protozoan parasite called Cryptosporidium sp. Cryptosporidium sp is a zoonotic parasite, this disease is transmitted from animals to humans.
3. Meningitis
When a cat is not cleaned and cared for regularly, it is highly likely that the cat can contract various diseases, including meningitis. This disease is very dangerous if infected to humans.
4. Toxoplasmosis
Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by the parasite Toxoplasma gondii. Toxoplasma gondii which is found in the feces of infected cats.
5. Cat claws
Left untreated cat scratch will cause a bacterial infection called cat scratch fever or cat scratch disease (CSD). This can put you at risk of transmitting dangerous diseases such as rabies and tetanus.
6. Asma
Keeping a cat can also cause asthma. If we inhale any part of the cat’s body this can trigger an allergic reaction that eventually causes asthma symptoms.

8. Worms
Cat fur can harbor cat fleas which may carry larvae of various types of dangerous worms. If the lice enter the human body then this can cause you to experience worms.
