Not all cars fared smoothly in the country. Reflecting on the sales data, some models actually look less fortunate.
Citing wholesale distribution data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) in June 2022, there are several models whose sales were minimal, namely under 20 units and some were not even looked at at all.
First there is the Suzuki Baleno. It was recorded that throughout June 2022, the distribution of the Suzuki Baleno from the factory to the dealer was 0 units. The lack of sales of the Suzuki Baleno in Indonesia has actually been seen since April 2022. In addition, the name Suzuki Baleno has also disappeared from the official Suzuki Indonesia website.

Investigate a calibaration, Suzuki is preparing the latest version of the Baleno which was launched in India last February. Even so, Suzuki still keeps the launch date of the new Baleno a secret.
“There are several factors, last June we focused on the All New Ertiga Hybrid and there will also be a refresh plan for Baleno,” explained Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) 4W Donny Saputra.
Apart from Baleno, Toyota Sienta’s sales also seem to be sluggish. During the sixth month of 2022, of the four Sienta models offered, only 11 units were distributed to dealers. Even though there are no enthusiasts in the country, in fact the Toyota Sienta made in Indonesia is quite popular in foreign countries. For your information, Sienta produced at the Karawang factory is also exported to Singapore and Thailand.

After the Sienta, another car with minimal sales is the DFSK Glory i-Auto. Still in the wholesales data of Gaikindo, in June 2022 the distribution of Glory i-Auto to dealers only reached 3 units. As for when totaled from January to June, sales of the DFSK Glory i-Auto are not too fantastic, only 17 units.

Then there are also two premium cars from Germany which are deserted. The cars are the Audi Q3 and Q7. Neither Q3 nor Q7 contributed to the sales contribution of the manufacturer with the four-ring logo throughout June 2022.
