WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA – A total of 51 young badminton players won Super Tickets and advanced to the quarantine stage for the 2023 PB Djarum General Audition.
This number consists of 12 Super Ticket winners from the tournament round and 39 Super Ticket Selection participants from the talent search team.
The struggle is not over, because they still have to undergo a four-week quarantine stage until they finally get a scholarship from the Djarum Foundation Sports Service and join the PB Djarum club.
Djarum Foundation’s Program Director, Yoppy Rosimin, appreciated the achievements of the young badminton players who came from Aceh to Papua.
According to Yoppy, all participants have given all their best abilities during the five days of the audition series, from Sunday (2/7/2023) to Thursday (6/7/2023).
The man who is also the Chairman of PB Djarum hopes that the enthusiasm and fighting power of the Super Tiket winners will not be broken because there is still one decisive stage that must be undertaken, namely quarantine.
“Congratulations to the Super Ticket winners, both from the tournament round and the choice of the Talent Search Team,” said Yoppy after the announcement of the athlete who received the PB Djarum General Audition Super Ticket 2023 at GOR Djarum, Jati, Kudus, Central Java, Thursday (6/7/2023) .
“But don’t be complacent, because there is a quarantine stage that must be passed optimally and seriously, before being declared officially joining PB Djarum. So keep your spirits up and show your best potential,” he continued.
Head of PB Djarum General Audition talent team Sigit Budiarto said the winners of the Super Ticket tournament round were both male and female U-11 and U-13 participants who managed to carve a victory at the tournament stage on the last day.
For the men’s category, those who succeeded in becoming semifinalists, while in the women’s sector were those who advanced to the final round of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the Super Ticket winner for the Talent Search Team is a young badminton player who has not won yet, but has the potential and criteria set by PB Djarum.
“So for the winners of the Super Ticket tournament round in the men’s sector there are eight participants and four in the women’s sector. Meanwhile, the choice of the Talent Search Team is athletes who in our view have talent and qualified technique in accordance with our assessment criteria,” said Sigit.
“We hope that the Super Ticket winners will be superior seeds with super qualities who are expected to join PB Djarum, so that the athletes’ talents and abilities can be further honed and developed to the fullest,” Sigit added.
Commanded by Sigit Budiarto, the Talent Scout Team was filled with PB Djarum coaches led by Fung Permadi as the Coordinator of the Male Athlete Talent Search Team and Yuni Kartika as the Coordinator of the Female Athlete Talent Search Team.
