Forbes has released the 50 list the richest man in Indonesia in 2022. In the latest list this year, the value of the wealth of Indonesian conglomerates increased to US$180 billion or Rp equivalent. 2.808 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 15.600).
The addition also raised a new name to the list of Indonesia’s richest people. Some who weren’t in the top 10 before are now climbing into the top 10.
Quoting from Forbes, Thursday (8/12/2022) Like Low Tuck Kwong who is currently the second richest person in Indonesia. While last year he was ranked 28th, now his name is flashy in second place beating the Widjaja Family, owners of the Sinar Mas Group.
Low Tuck Kwong as a coal entrepreneur is currently posting profits. The high price of energy commodities has boosted his wealth nearly fivefold to $12.1 billion.
In addition, the owner of the Alfamart department store chain, Djoko Susanto, is also one of Indonesia’s 10 richest people for the first time. His wealth increased to $4.1 billion.
Interestingly, the Hartono brothers were the richest people in Indonesia for 14 consecutive years. The family has occupied the top position in the list of richest people in Indonesia since 2008.

Assets: US$7.7 billion or Rp equivalent. 120 trillion.
5. Antonio Salim
Assets: US$7.5 billion or Rp equivalent. 117 trillion
6. President Tanjung
Assets: US$5.2 billion or Rp equivalent. 81.1 trillion.
7. Prajogo Pangestu
Assets: US$5.1 billion or Rp equivalent. 79.5 trillion.
8. Boenjamin Setiawan
Assets: US$4.8 billion or Rp equivalent. 74.8 trillion
9. Tahir and family
Assets: US$4.2 billion or Rp equivalent. 65.5 trillion
10. Joko Susanto
Assets: US$4.1 billion or Rp equivalent. 63.9 trillion
