First debate 2024 presidential election will be held KPU on Tuesday (12/12) in Jakarta.
The KPU has also determined the names of 11 panelists for the first debate of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
KPU Commissioner August Mellaz said those who were panelists were competent figures in their fields.
From the list of names released, the majority of panelists are academics from various state universities in Indonesia.
“We have received confirmation who will be the panelists for the first debate,” said August at the KPU Office, Saturday (9/12) as quoted from Between.
All panelists, said August, will undergo quarantine starting Sunday (10/12) until the day of the first debate which is planned to be held at the KPU office in Jakarta. The panelists will also formulate questions.
The presidential and vice presidential candidate debates in the 2024 presidential election will take place during the 2024 election campaign period, namely 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024.
The first and second debates will be held on 12 and 22 December 2023.
The themes of the first debate include government, law, human rights (HAM), eradicating corruption, strengthening democracy, improving public services and citizen harmony.
