List of Indonesian Representatives in the 2022 Badminton Asia Championship Semifinals

KOMPAS.com – Five of the eight Indonesian representatives made it to the semifinals Badminton Asia Championship or 2022 Asian Badminton Championship.

The Indonesian representatives who passed were Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Jonathan ChristiePramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, and Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti.

They advanced after knocking out their opponents in the quarter-finals Badminton Asia Championship 2022Friday (29/4/2022).

Chico has successfully continued his impressive performance at the 2022 Badminton Asia Championship.

After defeating the first seed, Kento Momota (Japan), and Lee Cheuk Yiu (Hong Kong), this time Chico eliminated the Chinese representative, Li Shi Feng, in the quarter-finals.

Competing at Muntinlupa Sports Complex, Manila, Philippines, Chico won convincingly over Li Shi Feng through two games 21-17, 21-14.

Jonathan Christie then followed Chico to semifinal Badminton Asia Championship.

Status as the fourth seed, Jonatan Christie beat Singapore’s best men’s singles, Loh Kean Yew, with a tight score 22-20, 23-21.

The result also confirmed the duel Jonatan vs. Chico in the semifinals of the Badminton Asia Championship.

Meanwhile, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, who was the second advantage, had to give up on Weng Hong Yang (China).
