Israel’s attack on Gaza which began on October 7 made many people call for a boycott of Israeli products or products affiliated with Israel.
In connection with the call for a boycott of Israeli products, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) also issued a fatwa regarding laws supporting Palestine. In the fatwa, it is stated that Muslims should avoid using products that are Israeli, pro-Israel, or affiliated with Israel.
