The reason is, currently all Trans Java toll road have implemented electronic transactions using cards. This means that cash payments are no longer possible.
So, what electronic cards can be used when crossing the freeway?
Marketing and Communication Department Head of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Irra Susiyanti explained that until now there are six cards that can be used.

“Still e-Money (Mandiri), Brizzi (BRI), Flazz (BCA), Tap Cash (BNI), and Blink (BTN). All of these cards can be used to access all toll roads. Jasa Marga, including Trans Java, “he said when confirmed by Kompas.com, Sunday (25/10/2020).
Meanwhile, for the Jabodetabek area, namely the inner city toll road, Sedyatmo, JORR, and Pondok Aren, drivers can also use a JakCard from Bank DKI.
More completely, Jakcard can be used at 18 Toll Gates (GT) of Jakarta – Tangerang Toll Road, 12 GT of Prof. Toll Road. Dr. Ir. Soedijatmo, 17 GT JORR E1, E2, E3, 6 GT JORR W2S and Pondok Aren – Ulujami sections, 15 GT JORR S sections, 7 GT JORR W1 and 9 GT JORR W2U sections.
“Apart from these sections, Jakcard can also be used on the Inner City Toll Road (Cawang-Tomang-Pluit) and Jagorawi Sections. Apart from that, it cannot yet,” said Irra again.

“We hope that the implementation of Jakcard as a toll payment can make it easier for road users to access toll roads by providing additional alternatives for electronic money,” he added.
As for the amount of filling in the electronic money balance itself, according to the Corporate Secretary of Bank Mandiri Tbk, Rohan Hafas, it has been regulated and determined by Bank Indonesia (BI) at Rp 1 million.
“The regulation from BI is a maximum of Rp. 1 million, but actually apart from e-toll, travelers also use the Indomeret Card for Jasa Marga toll payments. In function it is the same as e-toll,” Rohan said.
