However, there are about 20 countries that still require Covid-19 vaccines or negative PCR tests to enter their territory.
Which countries require vaccination or PCR test?
Countries that require a vaccination certificate or negative antigen test to enter may not be the most frequented by international tourists.
The only major tourist destination that supported this measure was United States, but that ended on May 11.
according to May report of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)the destinations that requested mandatory vaccination until the last survey of the entity are:
- Angola
- Filipinas
- Equatorial Guinea
- Marshall Islands
- Solomon Islands
- Kiribati
- Laos
- Liberia
- Micronesia
- Nauru
- Niue
- Palau
- Papua New Guinea
- Tokelau
- Tonga
- Turkmenistan
- Tuvalu
The UNWTO report confirmed the requirements until the end of March 2023, so it is possible that some of these countries have eased their policy in recent days.
However, there are cases such as Angola, which has tightened sanitary measures in April of this year; or of Philippines, where it is still necessary to be vaccinated to travel or, failing that, present a test.
Likewise, until March 2023, 11 countries requested pre-travel or arrival tests as a sine qua non condition for entry. Some coincide with the previous list:
- Afghanistan
- Angola
- China
- Equatorial Guinea
- Mozambique
- Nauru
- Niue
- Central African Republic
- Tokelau
- Turkmenistan
- Tuvalu
