Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
A number of countries, ranging from Singapore to United States of America, many reached out to help Indonesia deal with the surge Covid-19.
The government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it is always open to receiving assistance from friendly countries to overcome the increase in Covid-19.
To date, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that there are more than 10 countries that are ready to send their aid to Indonesia.
The following is a list of countries that have sent aid related to Covid-19 to Indonesia so far.
Australia
The country of Kangaroo contributes to various needs for handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, ranging from oxygen, medical devices, to 2.5 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.
“Today, I spoke with my colleague, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and confirmed direct assistance to Indonesia,” said Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne, released on her official website, Wednesday (7/7).
Payne then said that Australia would provide $12 million worth of oxygen and medical equipment.
The donations included 1,000 ventilators, 700 oxygen concentrators, 170 oxygen cylinders, and various disposable materials and other medical devices.
They will also donate 40 thousand Covid-19 rapid antigen test kits and 2.5 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. However, Australia did not explain in more detail when the oxygen, medical equipment and vaccines were sent to Indonesia.
United States of America
The United States will send four million doses of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine to Indonesia in the near future.
The US National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, directly conveyed the delivery plan when communicating with the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi.
“Sullivan stated that the United States will donate four million doses of Moderna vaccine to Indonesia,” the US government said in a statement posted on the official White House website on July 2.
The White House stated that the Moderna vaccine donation would be channeled through the COVAX scheme under the World Health Organization (WHO).

The British government is reportedly planning to donate the corona vaccine to Indonesia. This statement was made by the British Foreign Minister, Dominic Raab, when he met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers meeting in Italy, last June 29.
“Regarding the number and timing of deliveries, we will still discuss further,” said Retno in a virtual press conference.
