Every year WhatsApp always stops its support for some Android phones and iPhones running older operating systems.
As a result, many mobile phones can no longer use WhatsApp after their support has been removed.
In its latest rules, WhatsApp only supports phones running Android 4.1 or later.

Then, iOS 12 or later, and KaiOS 2.5.0 or later.
WhatsApp says it does regularly review what operating systems can be supported and get updates.
This is because cell phones and software change frequently.
“To choose what we will stop supporting, every year we, like other technology companies,” said WhatsApp, launching the FAQ page, Thursday (16/6/2022).
“We see what devices and software are the oldest and have the least number of users.”
“These devices may also not have the latest security updates, or may not have the functionality to run WhatsApp.”
WhatsApp says it will always notify users directly via the app if the phone is no longer supported by them.
And complete with a reminder to update the phone’s operating system.
If the Android phone and iPhone that you are using are not getting the latest operating system update.
Then the solution is to buy a new phone with an operating system that WhatsApp still supports.
