List of Ballistic and Hypersonic Missiles from Iran that Broke Israel’s Iron Dome

Iranian Government TV reports said the missile attack on Israeli territory was in response to the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

So, what kind of ballistic and hypersonic missiles did Iran use to attack Israel?

A ballistic missile

Currently, Iran is reported to have developed several new versions of the Shahab-3 missile. Some of them, such as Shahab-3A, Shahab-3B, Shahab-3D, Shahab-3M, Qadr-1, Ghadr-1, and Emad, were reported by CSIS.

Hypersonic missiles

Hypersonic missiles are a type of high speed missile. The speed of this bullet is said to be equal to six times the speed of sound.

Reported Al Jazeerahypersonic missiles have a minimum speed of 5 March. This speed is equal to 1,700 kilometers per second or equal to 6,100 kilometers per hour.

Because they are so fast, hypersonic missiles are very difficult to detect with radar systems. In fact, the sound of the bullet is only heard when it hits the intended object or target.

It is currently documented that Iran has several types of hypersonic missiles. One of Iran’s most famous types of hypersonic missiles is the Fatteh-2. Iran claims that this missile has a range of 10,000 miles or the equivalent of 16,000 kilometers per hour, reported from the Guard.

Iran is said to be the country with the largest number of ballistic and hypersonic missiles in the Middle East. However, observers claim that their number of missiles is still lower than Israel’s.
