WhatsApp announces no longer providing support on some phones Android and iPhone so that the application can not be used.
This provision is effective from 1 November. Thus, there are a number of phones with Android and iOS operating systems that can no longer access WhatsApp.
Past official site, WhatsApp says it will only be compatible on mobile devices running at least Android 4.0.4 or on iPhones with iOS 9. Practically, smartphones under that generation can’t get the update.
Why is Whatsapp no longer usable?
Whatsapp continues to update its instant messaging service features. These updates often require that phones using the app meet certain criteria.
So, in the end, old phones are no longer compatible with this Whatsapp feature update. Whatsapp finally announced which devices are no longer compatible with the application update and will no longer receive support.
Because, Whatsapp will choose to put forth efforts to make its app more compatible with newer devices. So, the instant messaging application can be used more optimally.
Meaning Whatsapp no longer supports
Even though Whatsapp no longer provides support for these devices, it does not mean that this instant messaging service will immediately stop and cannot be used.
Actually, the biggest problem is because the Whatsapp app on these devices no longer has security support. Thus, users will be more vulnerable to attacks by hackers who can steal personal data.
Hackers can enter through a security hole that WhatsApp is no longer patching because support has been discontinued. So, Whatsapp recommends that users of these phones immediately switch to a newer phone model.
