Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir will dissolve seven state-owned companies because they are no longer operating, but are recorded to still have workers. This worker never got a clear policy, so the government will provide certainty through disbandment BUMN the.
“Now what needs to be closed is seven (BUMN) that have not operated for a long time. Zalim if he becomes a leader does not provide certainty,” Erick said to the media, Thursday (23/9).
However, he has not provided a more detailed explanation regarding when the closing time for the seven SOEs will be and what the settlement of the rights of their workers will be in the future. Here are seven state-owned companies that will be closed:
1. PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero)
As is known, this state-owned airline has not aired since the last few years. This happens because the company’s financial condition is problematic.
The government has assigned PT Perusahaan Pengelola Asset (PPA) to ‘manage’ Merpati by providing a restructuring loan of Rp. 663.99 billion. Later, there was news that Merpati wanted to fly again, but so far this has not been realized.
2. PT Industri Glass (Persero) or Iglas
Iglas is actually not a new BUMN that Erick has ever looked at to close. The consideration is because the company’s condition is already dying, it has even become a PPA ‘patient’.
PPA had disbursed a bailout amounting to Rp49.96 billion and a restructuring loan of Rp89.08 billion for this company, but so far nothing has been done. Erick has not yet closed this state company because he is still looking for a solution.
3. PT Istaka Karya (Persero)
It is reported that this BUMN which is engaged in the construction sector has not operated for a long time. In fact, employee salaries have not been paid for more than a year.
In 2020, Istaka had received a bailout from PPA worth Rp. 62.44 billion, but it is not clear how it will be used.
4. PT Paper Kraft Aceh (Persero)
This state company has also made Erick ‘dizzy’ for a long time, so he wants to liquidate it. Erick has also handed over this company to PPA.
PPA provided a bailout of Rp 51.34 billion and a restructuring loan of Rp. 141.61 billion for this BUMN. However, until now there has been no further improvement.
5. PT Industri Sandang Nusantara (Persero) or Insani
This BUMN also received an injection of funds from the PPA, which amounted to Rp. 26 billion. This is given as an aid for the continuity of the company.
Before the company was in trouble, the company was the government’s mainstay to achieve self-sufficiency in supporting food needs in terms of meeting the needs of sacks and plastic sacks.
6. PT Financing Armada Niaga Nasional (Persero) or PANN
This company is actually engaged in ship financing. However, Erick said that this BUMN is not focused on running its business, where it is targeting another business line, namely hospitality.
Erick also once gave a surprising fact to the public because he said that PANN only had seven employees, from directors to commissioners.
7. PT Paper Leces (Persero)
This last BUMN is also a PPA patient, where the company also received a bailout amounting to Rp38.5 billion. But until now there has been no continuation of the restructuring of the BUMN.
