All Indonesian representatives who appeared in the first round or the top 32 Thailand Masters today, Tuesday (31/1), won a ticket to the next round. The following is a list of five Indonesian representatives who qualified for the top 16 Thailand Masters 2023.
The Indonesian representatives who appeared on the first day of the 2023 Thailand Masters were doubles players, both male and female.
There were three men’s doubles that competed against representatives from other countries, while there were two women’s doubles that competed.
Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan became the first representative of the Red and White team to compete and win at the same time.
The pair who are the sixth seeds won 21-19, 19-21 and 21-14 over the Malaysian doubles Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah.
Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana, who are the third seeds, followed Pramudya/Yeremia’s steps by defeating the host pair Pharanyu Kaosamaang/Worrapol Thongsa-Nga with a score of 21-17, 21-14.
Furthermore, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto who were non-seeded, made a surprise by defeating the eighth seed over the Hong Kong pair Ng Tsz Yau/Tsang Hiu Yan 21-16, 21-19.
The victory of the Indonesian representative over the host pair occurred again when Meilysa Trias Puspita Sari / Rachel Allessya Rose defeated Pichamon Phatcharaphisutsin / Nannapas Sukklad with a score of 21-14 and 21-18.
Finally, Muhammad Rayhan Nur Fadillah/Rahmat Hidayat defeated the Canadian pair Adam Dong/Nyl Yakura in two straight games 21-11 and 21-12
Other Indonesian representatives will only have the first round of the Thailand Masters match on Wednesday (1/2).
