A total of five national teams ASEAN qualify for the final Asian Cup U-17 2023 which will take place from 3 to 20 May 2023.
The five Southeast Asian teams have confirmed they have a ticket to next year’s U-17 Asian Cup following qualifiers.
The five teams are: Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand and Laos. Of the five teams, three qualified as group winners, while the other two teams became the best runners-up.

Malaysia U-17 are one of the teams qualified for the 2023 Asian Cup U-17 as Group B winners after beating the Indonesian national team 5-1 in their last match in Pakansari on Sunday (9/10).
The fate of Malaysia is not very different from that of Vietnam, which also had to play a decisive match in Group F before being declared qualified. Against Thailand in the “final match” of the group, Malaysia won 3-0.
Meanwhile, Australia entered the 2023 Asian Cup U-17 final after silencing China 3-1 in the Group G final match.
Luck was for Thailand, who despite losing badly to Vietnam, still managed to qualify for the U-17 Asian Cup after being included in the list of the best runners-up.
The last ASEAN team to qualify for the 2023 Asian U-17 Cup was Laos as best runner-up in Group I.
Laos has the same value as Indonesia. However, Laos have better goal difference over Indonesia U-17.
