Several teams have already made sure to advance to the knockout phase 2023 U-20 World Cup in Argentina, while there are a number of other countries that failed to advance to the round of 16. The following is a list of four countries that failed to qualify for the top 16 U-20 World Cup.
Of the 24 contestants who competed in the group phase of the 2023 U-20 World Cup, there were four countries that failed to compete in the race for tickets to the championship podium.
All participants from Group A have completed the match. Guatemala is the only country that has never recorded a victory, so that the representative from Central America is certain to be left out.
Similar to Guatemala, Fiji also failed to reap points in the group phase and became bottom of Group B.
From Group C there is Senegal. The African representatives failed to compete with Colombia, Israel and Japan.
While the Dominican Republic became the fourth country that was declared a failure. One of the Caribbean countries became a barn for goals for Brazil, Italy and Nigeria who occupy Group D.
Meanwhile, from Groups E and F, no country has been confirmed to be eliminated from the 2023 U-20 World Cup competition because there is still one game to complete.
The group winners and runners-up from each group will certainly advance to the round of 16, while the four best third-placed occupants will receive a spot to advance to the round of 16.
