PSSI officially releases a list of 27 player names Indonesian National team who will appear against East Timor on FIFA Match Day January period at I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali.
The Indonesian National Team’s training camp will start from January 19 to 28. In this agenda, the Garuda squad is scheduled to face Timor Leste twice with an undetermined time.
PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan hopes that these two test matches will be maximized. It is hoped that through this agenda, Indonesia’s ranking in the FIFA rankings in February will rise from 164th position.
“We hope that players will continue to show a positive trend after the euphoria of the 2020 AFF Cup. This FIFA Match Day match will take place with a bubble system,” said Iriawan in an official release.
“And of course as a preparation for coach Shin Tae Yong ahead of the AFF U-23 Cup because most of the composition of the players called up are young players,” said the man who is usually called Iwan Bule.
For the official FIFA agenda, Shin Tae Yong called several new names. They are Muhammad Adisatryo (Persik), Achmad Figo (Arema FC), Sani Rizki (Bhayangkara FC), and Terens Puhiri (Borneo FC).
The South Korean coach also called up two young players who performed well in Liga 1 2021/2022. Two wonderkid they are Marselino Ferdinand (Persebaya) and Ronaldo Joybera (Madura United).
“This match is very important as part of preparation and seeing the development of players ahead of participating in the AFF U-23 Cup, SEA Games, and the upcoming Asian Cup Qualifications,” said Shin Tae Yong.
