List of 10 Electric Motorcycles which were sold before the IDR 6.5 million grant

The government plans to provide subsidy purchases of electric vehicles starting next year, one of which for electric motor of IDR 6.5 million. The subsidy has not been officially implemented, but a number of electric motorcycles have been sold in Indonesia at this time.

There are at least 10 electric motorcycles currently being sold nationwide. They are all not big brands like Honda, Yamaha or Suzuki, but new brands or old players on a small scale.

1. Gesits

Gesits is a brand of electric motorcycles made in Indonesia. One unit is priced at IDR 28 million.

On paper, the Gesits-manufactured electric motor has 6.7 horsepower and is backed by an NCM Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3 kWh which is said to be capable of traveling up to 100 km/h on a full battery.

2. Alva

Another electric motorcycle from Indonesia that has been sold in the country is the Alva One manufactured by Ilectra Motor Group, a subsidiary of PT Indika Energy Tbk.

Alva valued this bike at IDR 34.9 million. This electric motor is said to be capable of a top speed of 90 km per hour, while the capacity of a fully charged battery can travel up to 70 km.

One battery can be fully charged with a runtime of four hours.

3. Travel

Viar has been selling Q1 electric motorcycles for a long time before the echoes of zero-emission vehicles were as strong as they are today. Q1, which has undergone minor changes, is now sold for IDR 21 million.

This engine is equipped with two batteries, each of 60V23Ah. The maximum speed of this electric motor is 60 km per hour.

4. United

Bicycle manufacturer United tried its luck producing the T1800 electric motorcycle. United sells its electric motorcycle for IDR 30 million.

This motorcycle is equipped with a lithium battery with a capacity of 60V28Ah which at 100 percent can reach a maximum speed of 70km/h and a range of up to 60km with an average speed of 50 to 60km/h in normal speed mode.

This motorcycle is powered by a BOSCH 60V1800W electric motor with 27 Nm of torque and 1,800 W of power.

5. Niu

Another brand that has enlivened the electric motorcycle market is Niu. This Chinese manufacturer sells GOVA-03 at the price of IDR 25 million.

The bike has the ability to reach a top speed of 60km/h with a range of 55 to 75km. This electric motorcycle is equipped with a 18650 lithium battery with a large voltage of 60V and a capacity of 40Ah and weighs 269kg with a choice of seats for 1-2 people.

6. Turn

Volta offers two products for electric motorcycles, namely Virgo and 401. Volta markets Virgo during IEMS 2022 for Rp. 14 million and 401 for Rp. 12 million.

Virgo has a range of 65km on one battery and 130km on two batteries. The maximum speed is 55 km per hour.

Meanwhile, the 401 has a range of 60km on one battery and 120km on two batteries. Maximum speed from 401 to 60 km per hour.

7. David

Another brand, Davigo, is marketing Forza products at IEMS 2022 at a price of IDR 17.47 million. This bike is said to be capable of going at a speed of 50km per hour with a range of up to 60km.

8. Segways

Segway is a newcomer to the electric motorcycle market in Indonesia. However, they have a number of new products in this segment.

The first one is the N90C which was launched at a price of IDR 27 million, has a speed of 52 km per hour and a range of 76 to 94 km.

Then there is the N100 model which is priced at IDR 34 million. This model is said to be capable of covering a distance of 70 to 110km with a top speed of 60km per hour.

In addition, there is the E110L, which costs IDR 40 million, has a speed of 62km/h, a range of 70-110km; and finally the E200P model which is sold at IDR 85 million which has a capacity of 100 km per hour and a range of 200 km.

9. Politrons

Electronics company Polytron is also starting to explore electric motorcycles through the Fox-R model which retails for IDR 16.5 million off the road or tax free (prices at IMOS 2022).

This bike is being sold without a complete battery which means that consumers have to enter into a leasing agreement in the form of a three year contract equivalent to IDR 9 million.

This motorcycle is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 3kW and a maximum speed of 90km/h. The battery has a capacity of 3.7 kWh. This motorcycle can travel 130km on a fully charged battery. The battery is said to be charged from zero to 80 percent with a runtime of 4 hours and 30 minutes.

10. Selis

Another brand that sells electric motorcycles is Selis. At IEMS 2022 at the end of last September, Selis presented its two electric motorcycles, namely the E-Max SLA which was offered Rp. 11.499 million and Agats Rp. 14.999 million.

The capability of the E-Max SLA is a maximum speed of 50 km per hour and a range of 40 km, while the Agats has a maximum speed of 50 km per hour and a maximum speed of 60 km per hour.
