L’Isle-d’Espagnac: a fire ravages a building in ZI n3

When the firefighters arrived, the first floor of this 450 m² building was totally ablaze and the flames pierced the roof. The upper level, where the offices are, was completely devastated.

Five lances were engaged to bring the fire under control within an hour. 30 firefighters from Angoulême, La Couronne, La Rochefoucauld as well as the Châteauneuf security headquarters were mobilized under the orders of Captain Ferron, head of the Angoulême center. After reconnaissance, the fire did not cause any injuries. But its origin remained unknown that night.

Although the ground floor of the premises was not affected by the flames, it was however damaged by the water used to extinguish the fire. The fire did not spread.
