Fitness equipment manufacturer Lishan (1515-TW) Today (7) announced the death of Chairman Wang Kunfu, and Xiangshou is 75 years old. A separate board meeting will be held to elect the new chairman before the announcement.
Wang Kunfu was a mold apprentice. He founded Lishan in 1972 and was listed on the market in 1995. His main business is a manufacturer of electric machine tools. In 1998, he entered the fitness machine market and the scale of operation continued to expand. At present, the proportion of fitness equipment revenue has exceeded that of electric tools. The proportion of revenue from fitness machines has grown from 61% in 2018 to 74% in the third quarter of last year.
Lishan is the largest supplier of flywheels and the sole supplier of treadmills for the American fitness startup Peloton. Driven by the demand for Peloton fitness machines last year, Lishan’s fourth quarter and full-year revenue reached a record high, with annual revenue reaching 113.7 100 million yuan, an annual increase of 43.9%.
Looking forward to this year, Lishan has jointly developed 3 new products with Peloton, which will establish its position as the largest supplier. Together with the continuous expansion of production, the annual performance is expected to hit another high.
