A posthumous memoir by singer Lisa Marie Presley, only child of rock’n roll legend Elvis Presley, will be released in October, her daughter and Random House publishers announced Thursday.
“I have the honor of contributing to the release of my mother’s book”, who died in January 2023 at the age of 54, announced on Instagram her daughter, the American actress Riley Keough, known for her roles in the film Mad Max : Fury Road and the Daisy Jones and the Six series.
Its publication links to a website, which specifies that the book will be released on October 15, 2024. “Before her death in 2023, (Lisa Marie Presley) had been working for years on a raw, fascinating and unique memoir, recording countless hours of band of breathtaking vulnerability, which were finally put to paper by his daughter, Riley Keough,” the site promises.

His death at age 54 a year ago, due according to the autopsy to complications linked to weight loss surgery, sparked a wave of tributes in the American entertainment industry.
Lisa Marie Presley was the heiress to the Graceland residence and family estate in Memphis (south), which has become a place of pilgrimage and devotion for Elvis fans who come to pay their respects at her grave. According to American media, Riley Keough has in turn become the heir.
The figure of Elvis, a genius rocker inspired by gospel and blues from Tennessee, returned to the fore thanks to Baz Luhrmann’s film, Elvis (2022), in which the singer is played by Austin Butler, to whom Lisa Marie Presley paid a vibrant tribute.
More recently, the film Priscilla, by director Sofia Coppola, decided to tell the story of Elvis, his excesses and his bouts of violence, through the eyes of his wife. Elvis Presley died in 1977, at age 42.
