Lisa Marie Presley is buried at Graceland, her father Elvis’ estate in the city of Memphis. Her family announced that she will find her final resting place next to that of her son Benjamin, who passed away in 2020.
The only child of the King of Rock and Roll passed away on Thursday at the age of 54 after a cardiac arrest. After her death, fans already left flowers and messages at the estate.
Lisa Marie owned Graceland as Elvis’s heir. She still regularly visited, for example to commemorate her father on his birthday and death anniversary. Last Sunday she came by on the day Elvis would have turned 88.
Meditation Garden
Elvis himself was buried in the meditation garden on his estate in 1977 after his death at the age of 42. His mother, who died 19 years earlier, was also reburied there. When his father Vernon died two years later, he also found his final resting place there, just like Elvis’ grandmother in 1980. There is also a memorial stone for his stillborn twin brother Jesse.
Elvis’ grandson Benjamin was buried there two years ago. The only son Lisa Marie had with her first husband, musician Danny Keough, committed suicide at the age of 27.
Details of the funeral or when it will be have not yet been announced. It is clear that a foundation is taking over the management of Graceland for Lisa Marie’s three children, her 33-year-old daughter and 14-year-old twins.
