So much for a dream job: filming the high-society series “Herzogpark” was no walk in the park for actress Lisa Maria Potthoff.
Slipping from one luxury dress to the next on the film set – not necessarily a dream for Lisa Maria Potthoff.
“The idea of wearing exciting clothes on film is nicer than the practical handling,” said the actress of the German Press Agency at the start of the “Herzogpark” series on Tuesday at RTL +.
“Elaborate clothes are great, but only until you go to the toilet for the first time. Then it gets complicated. Especially on a dixie toilet.”
That’s what “Herzogpark” is about
Potthoff plays a lawyer from Munich’s upper class society. She and three other women want to bring down a corrupt construction mogul (Heiner Lauterbach). “The biggest challenge in my role: sucking in my stomach for four months,” reported Potthoff, who often appears in figure-hugging dresses or even with a bare stomach. “Every lunch comes up ahead and you think, ‘Today it’s gnocchi with sage butter, I don’t know if that’s wise.'”
In her private life, the Berliner loves to be more comfortable. “I really hate going shopping. With a bundle like that in front of the changing room and then trying everything on, that’s the horror for me.”
She can understand that people like to read gossip. “It’s probably a pacifying feeling when you read about royalty or high society scandals. The rich and the beautiful also have worries: X and Y got divorced. Look, things aren’t going great there either. Then you sit at the hairdresser’s and think to yourself, all that money doesn’t make you happy either.”
