TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Director of PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk Ketut Budi Wijaya reveals facts that are far different from the claims so far submitted by the developer Meikarta. If all this time the developer claims to have sold 100 thousand apartment units, but it turns out that the data is not valid.
“Indeed, there have been orders for up to 100,000 units. We convey, after we traced it, the latest total was 18,000 units,” said Ketut in a Public Hearing Meeting (RDPU) with Commission VI of the DPR in Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, 13 February 2023 .
Of the total 18,000 units apartment 4,200 units or 30 percent have been handed over since PKPU or Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations in 2020. So, he said, in the PKPU it was stated that his party had to hand over the units until 2027.
This statement was responded to by DPR Commission VI member Mufti Aimah Nurul Anam. “There were 100 thousand, then it became 18 thousand units. You have deceived the public. Where did the data come from, sir?” he insisted.
Mufti couldn’t stop thinking that with this data, the company can claim that since 2017 Meikarta’s sales have exceeded 100 thousand units, it continues to be echoed to the public. “Wong in the media, you check in a lot of media, sir bluffing 100 thousand units have already been sold, sir, from 2017, if I’m not mistaken. How come there are so many remaining 18?” he said.
Responding to this question, Ketut then explained that this could be because the consortium that first managed the Meikarta project had inflated the number of orders and announced it to the public.
